Shipping and Receiving Associate (1st Shift)


The Shipper and Receiver?safely prepares orders and materials for trasnport through the facility, customer sites and job sites.? The individual will also work to receive shipped orders from other company locations for storage.


This position is on first?shift from 6AM-2PM?with a PAID 30-minute lunch. Some OT, including Saturdays, required. Starting pay is $15.00hr.?


  • Reviews shipping orders.? Locates product in warehouse.

  • Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.

  • Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink warps pallets, and attaches shipping labels.

  • Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system.

  • Loads and unloads trucks

  • Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.

  • Trains lower level Shippers/Receivers as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Must be a trained and qualified forklift operator, with current/valid license.

  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, and counting.

  • Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features of the equipment.

  • Knowledge of products manufactured or warehoused at that plant.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • One year as a Shipper/Receiver or equivalent experience.


  • Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.


  • Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.

  • Maximum unassisted lift ? 75 lbs. Average lift less than 25 lbs.


  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.?

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and requires hearing protection.

  • Safety shoes and eye protection are also required.

  • Temperature environment 0 degrees to 110 degrees

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
